RIVER 1 SUP SKILLS WEEKEND
This Paddle Canada course is intended to build the basic foundational knowledge and skill sets to SUP safely and with confidence on moving water. This is the prerequisite to the Paddle Canada River 2 Skills Certification course. For a more detailed breakdown of the skills covered in this course check out the Paddle Canada website here.
 
Notes: On this course we will spend Day 1 learning and practicing the River 1 Skill set at one the Lower Madawaska’s best play spots. On day 2 we will use this new skill set and build on your river running skills through a 12km run of the Lower Madawaska River which offers pool and drop class I to III rapids. Those that show the skills may be invited to challenge for their River 2 Skills Certification in the same weekend. You might get wet, so wear synthetics and bring an extra set of dry clothes.

Prerequisite: Advanced SUP Skills or equivalent.
Provided: Boards, paddles, leashes, and PFD’s.
Cost: $275 + HST.
Length: 2 days.

RIVER 1 SUP SKILLS - 1 DAY
This Paddle Canada course is intended to build the basic foundational knowledge and skill sets to SUP safely and with confidence on moving water. Notes: This course will act as a pre-run of the Ontario SUP Series Grand River Race as well as provide you with the formal Paddle Canada River 1 Skills Certification upon successful completion. You might get wet, so wear synthetics and bring an extra set of dry clothes.

Prerequisite: Advanced SUP Skills or equivalent.
Provided: Boards, paddles, leashes, and PFD’s.

RIVER 2 SUP SKILLS
This course is intended to build on the skill sets acquired in the River 1 Course to prepare you for more advanced maneuvers and river paddling conditions. RIVER 1 AND 2 SUP SKILLS BUNDLE

PADDLE CANADA INTRO TO STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING (SUP)
Get stoked! Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing sport in the world right now.  Not only is it excellent for your balance and a great workout, but it’s also a whole lotta fun. North Shore’s Intro to SUP program is a 2 hr course that will give you all the basic skills you need to get out and have a blast on calm lakes and lazy rivers. You’ll learn about gear, safety, proper stance, and paddle techniques. Minimum 2 participants, maximum 6.  Buy a board and this lesson is free! Our Intro to SUP clinics are totally mobile.  If you have an interested group and suitable body of water nearby we’ll bring the course to you.  
 
Notes: This course is for everyone.  Courses will be held on protected calm water.  You might get wet, so wear synthetics and bring an extra set of dry clothes.  We recommend you take this intro course before a fitness lesson or tour.

Prerequisite: None.  If you can balance on two feet (or one) you can paddleboard.

Cost: 2 people - $75/ person +HST
3-4 people - $60/ person +HST

PADDLE CANADA ADVANCED FLATWATER SUP SKILLS
So you’ve taken an intro course (or done some SUP paddling on your own) and now you want to take your skills (and fun) to the next level and get a few more tricks up your sleeve. This 2.5 hr course will help refine what you already know and introduce some very cool and very useful new techniques.  Pivot turns, cross bow strokes, fancy footwork, bracing and paddling in open water conditions.  Depending on the weather you might even surprise yourself and catch a wave or two. Minimum 2 participants, Maximum 6. Our Advanced SUP clinics are totally mobile.  If you have an interested group and suitable body of water nearby we’ll bring the course to you. 
 
Notes: You’ll very likely get wet on this course.  If you don’t then you’re probably not trying hard enough.  Wear synthetics and bring an extra set of dry clothes.  We recommend you take this course before a trip or expedition.

Prerequisite: Intro to SUP or equivalent experience
Provided: Boards, paddles, leashes, and PFD’s.
Cost: $75 + HST

FITNESS AND WORKOUT / RACE TRAINING
This fun and kick-ass 1 hr session combines SUP race skills with a burly fitness workout.  Think Crossfit on water.  In addition to interval paddling and paddle specific stretching, your instructor will lead you through a boot camp of body weight exercises that will all take place on board.  Get ready to feel the burn! Minimum 2 participants, maximum 6. Our Race Training/Workout sessions are totally mobile.  If you have an interested group and suitable body of water nearby we’ll bring the course to you. 

Notes: Wear synthetics and bring an extra set of dry clothes.  Bring water, you’re gonna need it.

Prerequisite: Intro to SUP or equivalent experience
Provided: Boards, paddles, leashes, and PFD’s.

LONG POINT SUP CAMP – 2 DAY INTENSIVE STAND UP PADDLEBOARD CLINIC
North Shore Paddlesurf’s SUP Camps will immerse you in stand up paddleboarding for 2-full days and take you from being a complete beginner to a self-sufficient paddler.  You’ll be taught by Paddle Canada Certified Instructors, using the best gear around, in some of the most beautiful waters of Southern Ontario.   There’s nothing like back-to-back instructional days to provide a rock solid foundation for SUP.  Minimum 2 participants, maximum 6.

Where: North Shore SUP Camps are held in beautiful Long Point, Ontario.  We’ll be using Lake Erie, Big Creek and Deerhurst Lake as our classroom and playground.

What You Get:  6:1 Ratio of students to Paddle Canada Certified SUP Instructor - Both Paddle Canada Intro to SUP and Advanced Flatwater training – Gear knowledge and the opportunity to demo a number of different styles of SUP boards and paddles – Exposure to paddling in protected waters, a moving river, and Great Lakes open water – Fundamental and advanced paddling strokes/board skills and tricks – Video Stroke Analysis – Downwind, upwind and race paddling techniques - Special discounts on all gear – If weather permits you might even get an impromptu surf lesson.

This clinic can also be privately booked as a kid, teen or family exclusive camp.
